# Credit Where Credit Is Due

I was thinking about this awhile ago, and I realized how many people have helped me, whether they knew it or not, become the developer I am. So today, I am going to share those names, books, etc., because the people really deserve some credit. So without further adieu, let’s begin at the beginning:

1. [Coder Academy](https://www.sean.co.uk/books/coder/index.shtm) by [Sean McManus](https://www.sean.co.uk/)

**This book started everything for me.** It introduced me to Scratch, and for a little chapter at the end, taught me about HTML. This book is what introduced me to the world of programming. Without this book, I might not be a programmer. I say this with full honesty and no exaggeration whatsoever.

2. The Former community of [Replit](https://replit.com/)

After I got into HTML and Scratch, there was I want to say a year where I was keeping all of my code local. Then, I discovered Replit, and more importantly, the community there. If you have read my other blog posts, you know my feeling towards Replit. However, the community was amazing. I learned so much and gathered tons of feedback on my sites, **which is something I haven’t had since.**

3. [CodingCactus](https://codingcactus.codes/)

This user I met on Replit. One thing that immediately stuck out to me, was the website. The text falling into the cactus was so cool to me. I was able to explore around in the code and learn about CSS Animations. For ***YEARS*** I used CSS Animations. I still do!

4. [**TechWithAnirudh**](https://techwithanirudh.com/)

This person has helped me a lot. He(?) also showed me what is really possible and that age is no limit.

5. AndrewDeng3 and [PianoMan0](https://pianoman0.github.io/portfolio/):

Always willing to come onto a project, help me when possible and such. AndrewDeng3 hosted my discord bot for a while, and PianoMan0 was always helping out with various things, and always listening.

6. [Tiago Rangel](http://tiagorangel.com)

When I merged to Glitch, this was one of the first names that stuck out to me. Between now and when I joined, we have worked on multiple projects together such as [sized](http://sized.glitch.me), [txted](http://txted.glitch.me), and [nomoreuglyweb](http://nomoreuglywebsites.glitch.me).

Looking at this list, I know that this could go on forever and ever. I know some contributions are bigger than others, and I know that this list will continue to get bigger as I continue driving on the road of life. To those on this list, and to some who aren’t, I want to say “Thank you.” You might not think you did anything big. And I might not think it either, but Miles \_\_ years ago thought so, and somehow, your name made a lasting implant on me, and I thank you for that.
